Overview

Yonder Yoga is a Premier Infrared Hot Power Yoga Studio with locations in Atlanta, Athens, GA, and Charlotte, NC. When the studio first launched in 2017, I designed and built their original website to establish the brand's digital presence and support class bookings.

The Challenge

As a new studio, Yonder Yoga needed a professional web presence that communicated its unique value proposition — infrared hot power yoga — while making it easy for potential members to learn about the studio, view class schedules, and book their first class. The brand was new, so the site needed to set the tone for the entire customer experience.

My Role

I served as the sole web developer and designer for the project, responsible for the full design, development, and launch of the website.

Approach

I worked closely with the founders to understand the brand identity, target audience, and business goals. The design focused on clean, calming aesthetics that reflected the yoga studio's atmosphere. I prioritized mobile responsiveness (most visitors would discover the studio on their phones), fast page loads, and a clear path to booking a class.

What I Delivered

- A fully responsive website designed and built from scratch - Integration with class booking and scheduling tools - Clean, brand-aligned visual design reflecting the studio's identity - Mobile-first layout optimized for discovery and conversion

Outcome

The website launched alongside the studio's opening and served as the primary digital channel for building the initial member base. Yonder Yoga has since expanded to multiple locations across Georgia and North Carolina.

Key Learnings

- Working directly with founders on a brand launch gives you a much deeper understanding of how product decisions shape customer perception from day one. - For local businesses, the website is often the first and most important touchpoint — getting the fundamentals right (speed, clarity, mobile experience) matters more than flashy features.
