Overview
Workforce Intelligence is a single software solution for managing site operations — unifying people, processes, and technology so operations and maintenance teams can make real-time, data-driven decisions. It digitizes workflows, integrates enterprise data across systems and sites, and turns that data into actionable insights. The product includes an operations layer with real-time alerts, AI-generated insights, task management, and closed-loop action tracking, along with an Android mobile app that puts frontline workers in the loop. It was the flagship of Honeywell's connected worker portfolio and the anchor product across my roadmap.
The Challenge
Site operations ran on paper-based procedures and siloed systems. Data lived in disconnected tools across sites, teams, and workers, so leaders had no single source of truth and no real-time view of performance. Operations and maintenance teams worked in parallel rather than in concert, which slowed down decisions and left capacity on the table.
My Role
As Product Manager (Senior Offering Manager), I owned product strategy and roadmap for Workforce Intelligence as the flagship of the connected worker portfolio. I defined the platform vision, prioritized investments, and partnered with engineering, UX, architecture, and data teams to bring it to market.
Approach
I grounded the roadmap in customer discovery — 30+ discovery sessions and 15+ operational site visits to understand frontline workflows and where time was lost. From there I defined the capabilities that mattered most: digitizing paper procedures into integrated workflows, establishing shared KPI definitions and governed data models, and unifying siloed data into a single system of record.
What I Delivered
- Digital task management that turned paper-based procedures into integrated workflows, with reusable task templates and APIs for spontaneous task generation and assignment
- A unified operations layer with real-time alerts, AI-generated insights, task creation, and closed-loop action tracking from detection through resolution
- Incident response workflows that let workers report issues from existing devices and trigger responsive tasks
- An Android mobile app for frontline workers — providing hands-on access to tasks, incidents, and operational data on the floor
- Workforce insights across sites, systems, teams, and individual workers, on both desktop and mobile
- Enterprise data integration that combined disparate systems into a single, analyzable source of truth
Outcome
Workforce Intelligence contributed to Honeywell's connected worker portfolio. By unifying siloed data into a single system of record, customers were able to increase capacity with existing resources, reduce idle labor time, and improve operational resiliency by preventing unplanned downtime.
Key Learnings
- A flagship platform lives or dies on its data foundation. Investing early in shared KPI logic and governed data models made every downstream capability more valuable.
- Digitizing workflows is a change-management exercise as much as a product one — adoption depended on making the digital path faster than the paper one.
- Unifying siloed systems creates value beyond any single feature; the single system of record was the product's real moat.
